Designing

Today i was at tech i was designing a  maze game so that i could try to sole it. I liked doing tech because we get to do really cool things. I would like to say thank you Mrs Ferguson for helping me with my designing.

Inference DLO

LI: To understand how to use inference in Maths.

This weeks Maths session I have being working together with Chavda to create this. Before we started to make our DLO we were given different word problems in Inference and we were also got a word problem that was in our Maths test. As you can see on my DLO I have a word problem, a drawing, how we figured out the answer and the strategy. Chavda has sketched a image online but changed up the drawing a bit with the colours.

New Zealand Peace Celebration Badge

This week LS2 has been commemorating New Zealanders who fought in the war, my group (Angela, Nidhi, Jayden, Jack and I) decided to create this DLO on Athol Hudson, the peace badge and the peace day. Athol Hudson was a soldier who fought in World War 1 but was killed in action when he was crossing enemy lines to secure information, he was a Lieutenant.

StepsWeb

In the morning I was working on StepsWeb, I needed to complete different activities like choosing the right word, spelling the words correctly and choosing letters with the right sounds for items. I like working on StepsWeb because I enjoy the activities, no matter if they're easy or hard.

Tech @ Tamaki College

This week at tech we carried on with our wood designs. I am making the Chest of drawers. I used the Wood Chisel to cut into my piece of wood to make a joint. My joint was a bit small so I sanded my wood down to try and make my wood fit into my joint. I got the help of Mr. Grundy. He helped me sand down my wood. He also helped me by gluing in the wood, He put the 2 parts inside the vice so that it would hold still and stay in place. I really enjoyed Tech this week.
