Rhythm Interative's visit to PBS

Today Johhny from Rhythm Interactive came to our school to teach us drumming. We had a lot of fun playing with the drums. I liked playing the beats that Johnny was showing us how to play on the African djembe drums. I enjoyed playing the drums.

Inference DLO

LI: To understand how to use inference in Maths.

This weeks Maths session I have being working together with Chavda to create this. Before we started to make our DLO we were given different word problems in Inference and we were also got a word problem that was in our Maths test. As you can see on my DLO I have a word problem, a drawing, how we figured out the answer and the strategy. Chavda has sketched a image online but changed up the drawing a bit with the colours.

hiwi the kiwi

Yesterday we watched the show of  Hiwi the Kiwi . Mr Minstral sang songs and Mrs Mintstral danced to teach the children all about fishing and that people are catching too many fish. We learnt that you should only catch enough fish for you to eat. If we catch too many there won’t be anymore fish to eat. We have to measure the fish and if they are too small or too big we need to put it back in the water. We need to use a wet towel to touch the fish and throw it back in the water.

If the fish see plastic bags or plastic cups in the sea they think it is food and eat it.  Then they can die. You should always respect the sea.We can teach Mum and Dad about how to respect the sea.

Ballet

Yesterday we had a session with Chloe for ballet. We had lots of fun with Chloe doing ballet. Chloe is a Dance Educator from the Royal New Zealand Ballet. Mrs Jones kindly organised the visit for Chloe to teach us about the ballet. We learnt some dance movements from the ballet 'Black Swan, White Swan, which is based on the famous ballet 'Swan Lake'. We were all happy and we all had lots of fun learning the dance sequence. The music for the dance was classical music by Tchaikovsky.

Tech | Tamaki Collage

Today we went to Tamaki College for tech with Mrs Ferguson continuing with doing our graphics. First we had to go into the bus and get to Tamaki College.we haveing a funn with Mes Lindaat tech.
We play three game with Mrs Linda, because Mrs Linda was my partner and we played three games which was connect the dot, hangman,  and tic tac toe. After we did that we made to plan out, how we were gonna make it out of 3D shapes and other stuff we were gonna use to make the game that we were playing on the piece of paper.
